Foundation

Comprehensive Methanol Training Curriculum to Empower Seafarers

GreenMarine Training offers a specialized methanol training program for seafarers and technical teams, ensuring they acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for safe, efficient methanol powered vessel operations.

Expertise

Hands-on training

Our expert-led program is conducted by ex-Captains and Chief Engineers with actual experience in both low flash point fuel installation and design, as well as operational experience. Our training offers practical insights into methanol dual-fuel systems, addressing ship design, safety, bunkering and operational protocols. In addition, we can specifically tailor crew training to familiarize them with the ships they will work on.

Only at Green Marine does such training exist.

Locations

World-class training facilities

Our Manila training center provides hands-on experience with methanol-powered engines and bunkering operations. A new facility in Shanghai is coming soon to serve our Chinese customers, and we have partnerships in Singapore with Wavelink, MAN PrimeServe China and MAERSK Training Centers globally.

Partnership

Maersk Training

Maersk is a global leader in maritime education. GreenMarine partnered with Maersk to launch the “Maersk Training powered by GreenMarine” program, advancing sustainable maritime fuel training with a primary focus on methanol. This program covers the full spectrum of methanol-based operations, including technical mechanics, safety protocols, and best practices in energy-efficient shipping – all delivered through immersive simulations, online modules and instructor-led sessions.

This partnership establishes a comprehensive training hub across the methanol value chain, from production to vessel operations. It equips seafarers, crew members and industry professionals with essential skills for the industry’s green transition. By fostering expertise in sustainable fuel handling, the program aims to support safer, more efficient operations while contributing to a cleaner, more sustainable future for the maritime industry.
